Salary: $115,000–$135,000

What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing team by setting clear objectives and providing coaching.
• Drive editorial and portfolio strategy to ensure strong author experience and engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with Editors-in-Chief, Editorial Boards, and research communities.
• Manage and grow partnerships with key societies and journal owners.
• Implement strategic priorities, policies, and workflows using data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to support wider organizational goals.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the New York office (Hybrid).
• 5+ years of experience in strategic management of a journal or publishing portfolio.
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Deep understanding of the scholarly publishing ecosystem and research lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in medicine or life sciences preferred.
