What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of Bodily Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Third Party Property Damage claims up to £100k.
• Investigate and determine policy coverage, liability, and claim strategy from first notification to conclusion.
• Instruct and actively manage law firms and external experts to ensure proactive indemnity and cost management.
• Negotiate settlements and represent the company at mediations, JSMs, and court hearings.
• Collaborate with underwriters and internal stakeholders to share insights on claim trends and improve product understanding.
• Contribute to business initiatives and continuous improvement projects, including the adoption of new digital tools.

Requirements

• Strong experience in handling Third Party liability Bodily Injury and/or Medical Malpractice claims.
• Solid understanding of pre-action protocols and civil litigation in England & Wales.
• Proven ability to manage claims end-to-end, including solicitor instruction and strategy oversight.
• Demonstrable experience in applying policy wording and assessing coverage/liability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing relationships with brokers, solicitors, and policyholders.
• Glasgow-based candidates must have specific experience handling England & Wales cases.

Nice to have

• Experience handling Third Party Property Damage claims.
• Professional qualifications such as CII, CILex, or equivalent.
