What you will do
- Supervise and mentor a team of claims specialists, monitoring workload, quality, and performance metrics.
- Provide technical guidance on high-exposure claims, coverage issues, and reserve management.
- Review and approve complex correspondence, coverage position letters, and large loss reports.
- Coordinate with underwriters and actuaries to align claims operations with organizational objectives.
- Support underwriting by advising on policy wordings and participating in renewal meetings.
- Travel to mediations, trials, and conferences as required by business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 8+ years of industry experience in insurance claims.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience managing teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
