Director & Sr. Corporate Counsel - Compliance

Location: San Jose, United States

Annual salary: $176,400–$327,600 in California, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain the global compliance program in partnership with legal and business subject-matter experts.
• Manage compliance risk assessments, gap analyses, and mitigation plans.
• Advise on applicable laws while monitoring evolving legislation and enforcement trends.
• Develop, deliver, and refresh compliance training and related communications.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies and processes, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency.
• Support internal investigations and responses to regulatory inquiries or audits.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 7–10 years of experience in compliance or risk management within a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Superior legal analysis, oral and written communication, and attention to detail.
• Sound judgment, flexibility, independent working ability, and effective collaboration across business units and multinational stakeholders.
• Positive, team-oriented approach and willingness to contribute across the legal function.

• Combination of law firm and in-house experience.
• Experience working with technology companies.
• Experience with global or cross-border compliance matters.
