EMEA Payroll Liaison Officer: Manage delivery of EMEA payroll services across multiple external payroll providers with an accent on payroll controls, compliance, governance, and GDPR-aligned handling of payroll data. Focus on monthly payroll checks and analysis reporting, HMRC submissions (including P11D and Class1A), and continuous process improvement while supporting employees with pay, tax, national insurance, pensions, and benefits issues.

What you will do
- Coordinate with EMEA payroll bureaus to ensure accurate and on-time processing for ~38 payrolls across 12+ countries.
- Partner with HR and Benefits to submit people data to payroll bureaus and act as the main contact for payroll issues.
- Run monthly payroll checks, prepare payroll analysis reports and approval documentation for senior management.
- Support salary and third-party payments via online banking platforms; ensure accounts are sufficiently funded.
- Handle month-end and year-end payroll reporting, including payroll journals, HMRC Gateway reconciliation, and P11D/Class1A obligations.
- Maintain payroll procedures, perform audits for data integrity, and provide ad hoc payroll cost reporting to Finance/HR/Managers.
Requirements
- Several years of payroll experience in a complex organization; ability to act as a payroll subject matter expert.
- Strong knowledge of payroll statutory regulations, financial control principles, and accounting practices.
- Experience with pension schemes and auto-enrolment; experience administering flex benefits and salary sacrifice arrangements (through payroll).
- Excellent Excel skills (including vlookup/data analysis) and proven ability to meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of GDPR requirements for handling payroll data and records.
