TL;DR

Compliance Communications Team Lead (Fintech): Leading the review, audit, and approval of retail communications to ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements with an accent on FINRA and SEC standards. Focus on scaling team impact, driving process efficiencies, and aligning compliance strategies across Marketing, Social, and Product teams.

Location: Must be based in New York, NY, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, or Lake Mary, FL with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $110,000 – $165,000 USD (based on location zone).

What you will do

  • Provide expert guidance and serve as an escalation point for complex compliance interpretations.
  • Perform Principal Review of communications with the public to ensure regulatory and internal standard compliance.
  • Develop and lead process enhancements to increase team quality and scalability.
  • Build strong relationships and lead compliance strategy among Marketing, Social, and Product stakeholders.
  • Guide internal partners on compliance requirements for various projects and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses required (Series 4 must be acquired within 120 days).
  • 7+ years of experience in compliance or a relevant financial services function.
  • Deep practical expertise with FINRA rules 2210 and 2220 and SEC supervision requirements.
  • Experience as a registered principal reviewing high-risk communications like options, margin, and promotions.
  • Experience with advertising review tools such as Red Oak, Saifr, or PerformLine.
