What you will do

• Collaborate with senior technology leaders to develop and execute comprehensive patent strategies.
• Manage patent prosecution activities, including drafting applications and coordinating with external counsel.
• Provide strategic advice on IP portfolio management, enforcement, and due diligence for M&A transactions.
• Draft and negotiate complex IP-related agreements, including licensing, joint-venture, and collaboration contracts.
• Conduct legal research and draft opinions on patentability, invalidity, and freedom to operate.
• Counsel internal clients on IP topics and manage intellectual property disputes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and a state bar.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in intellectual property law with a focus on patent strategy.
• Strong background in patent prosecution, portfolio management, and strategic IP planning.
• Experience with patent litigation and enforcement.
• Technical background in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering/chemistry is preferred.
