Software Engineer - Platform Team - Greece (Linux/ASIC/FPGA)

What you will do

• Develop platform software close to networking hardware and chip programming.
• Build and maintain components of Arista’s networking operating system based on state orientation, open standards, and a single software image.
• Implement distributed state sharing and publish-subscribe communication across system components.
• Work with an unmodified Linux kernel, Linux utilities, containers, and virtual machines.
• Support software consistency across physical platforms, virtual machines, and containers.
• Enable automation and CI workflows for building, testing, and deploying network configurations.

Requirements

• Strong engineering and computer science fundamentals.
• Extensive experience with algorithms and software architecture.
• 5+ years of experience with C, C++, or Python.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing software in a strong product-engineering environment.
• Experience with low-level system programming, Linux, ASICs, FPGAs, embedded systems, or multithreading.
