What you will do

• Develop and implement category strategies to consolidate the global supplier base and optimize spend allocation.
• Manage supplier performance regarding cost, quality, delivery, and service through regular business reviews.
• Execute annual cost reduction plans, including VeVa projects and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with regional category managers to support negotiations and identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to provide actionable market intelligence to cross-functional teams.
• Maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and drive performance improvements for underperforming suppliers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in procurement with a focus on category management.
• 10+ years of experience with manufactured products, preferably in industrial end markets.
• Strong proficiency in sourcing processes, contracting, and commercial negotiation.
• Expertise in cost modeling and applying strategic frameworks like Porter’s 5 Forces or SWOT analysis.
• English communication skills (verbal and written) are mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with strong project management capabilities.
