What you will do

• Implement software features and modules using Elixir/Phoenix and Python/Flask.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate implementation, improve testing coverage, and streamline debugging.
• Design PostgreSQL database schemas and develop core APIs for the Hyperlift Stars Platform.
• Own features end-to-end from initial implementation through testing, deployment, and post-release support.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and system-level tests to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with peers and technical leadership within an Agile development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in Elixir/Phoenix and/or Python/Flask.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with containerized applications.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Kubernetes.
