TL;DR

Manager, Support Engineering (Cybersecurity): Leading a team of Solutions Support Engineers to provide world-class technical support for cloud security products with an accent on complex technical escalations and platform connectivity. Focus on developing subject matter experts, implementing automation to scale support, and collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.

Location: Remote (Ireland). Must have the legal right to work in Ireland without visa sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Solutions Support Engineers resolving complex technical issues.
  • Own team accountability and performance, facilitating performance reviews and employee relations.
  • Drive projects and initiatives to improve team productivity, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in incident and escalation retrospectives to identify trends and reduce escalation rates.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to scale the technical support offering.
  • Collaborate with Technical Account Managers, Product Management, and Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing support engineering teams in high-paced environments.
  • 7+ years of hands-on technical experience in support, system administration, software development, DevOps, or SRE.
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Ability to read or debug code in languages such as Java, Python, Shell, JavaScript, Rust, or Go.
  • Proficiency with Linux operating system environments and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with REST APIs or GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of basic web technologies (HTTP, HTML, DNS) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs).
  • Understanding of graph, relational, and non-relational databases.
  • Experience managing a highly technical escalations tier.
