Managing Director, Property PLL (Insurance)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 per year, plus 50% bonus potential and 35% LTI.

What you will do

• Oversee the growth, profitability, and strategic direction of the commercial property business.
• Set underwriting standards, maintain technical pricing standards, and manage underwriting authority for the property product line.
• Manage property portfolios, including aggregation management, account reviews, and product performance.
• Provide underwriting direction to regional teams and ensure effective execution of product goals.
• Identify market opportunities, product offerings, cross-sell opportunities, and new business prospects.
• Train underwriters and support staff while communicating product, underwriting, and claims feedback to senior leadership.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of underwriting experience, including a minimum of 5 years in property underwriting.
• Superior verbal and written communication, influencing, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to set objectives, drive results, and secure buy-in from leadership, peers, and underwriting teams.
• Executive presence, integrity, energy, initiative, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%.
• US work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
