What you will do

• Lead forensic accounting and surety engagements, including contractor defaults and delay claims.
• Analyze financial statements, job cost reports, and construction contracts.
• Support surety carriers and legal counsel through all phases of litigation and claims.
• Manage multiple concurrent engagements while ensuring quality and profitability.
• Prepare defensible written reports and conduct interviews with project stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and client relationship building.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in surety, construction accounting, or forensic consulting.
• Strong understanding of construction operations, cost tracking, and surety claims lifecycle.
• Advanced financial analysis and investigative accounting capabilities.
• Must be able to work onsite in Cherry Hill, NJ and travel as needed.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Nice to have

• CPA, CFF, CVA, or CFE designation.
• Expert witness or deposition support experience.
• Familiarity with AIA contracts and construction law.
• Existing industry relationships within surety or legal markets.
