Managing Consultant - Financial Institution Advisory

Location: Washington, DC, United States

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 per year for Managing Consultant; $145,000–$200,000 per year for Senior Managing Consultant.

What you will do

• Conduct business process reviews and current-state assessments across financial and operational functions.
• Develop roadmaps to improve operations, compliance, controls, and risk management.
• Support technology enablement, workflow optimization, and dashboard and reporting development.
• Perform financial and accounting reviews, including data validation, reconciliation, quality control, and statistical and financial modeling.
• Prepare and present client-ready deliverables to senior stakeholders while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Manage and mentor junior staff and contribute to industry research, business development, and practice growth.

Requirements

• Several years of experience working with AI models such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or comparable tools.
• Experience with proprietary large language models or custom model development.
• Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, presentation, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex AI, machine learning, financial, and operational concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• High integrity, discretion, attention to detail, ownership, and commitment to quality.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, blockchain, or cryptocurrency.
• Experience building industry solutions used across a firm or sold to clients.
• Interest in integrating AI into financial operations, risk processes, or client deliverables.
