Managing Consultant - Financial Institution Advisory

Location: Washington, DC

Salary: Managing Consultant: $100,000–$160,000; Senior Managing Consultant: $145,000–$200,000.

What you will do

• Conduct business process reviews and current-state assessments across financial and operational functions.
• Develop roadmaps covering operations, compliance, controls, and risk management.
• Support technology enablement, workflow optimization, and dashboard and reporting development.
• Perform financial and accounting reviews, including data validation, reconciliation, quality control, and statistical or financial modeling.
• Prepare and present client-ready deliverables to senior stakeholders while maintaining client relationships.
• Manage and mentor junior staff, conduct industry research, and contribute to business development and practice growth.

Requirements

• Several years of experience with AI models, including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or comparable tools.
• Experience working with proprietary large language models or contributing to or building custom models.
• Ability to explain complex AI/ML and other technical concepts clearly to non-technical and diverse audiences.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, including communication with senior executives.
• Strong work ethic, ownership mindset, initiative, and willingness to lead new initiatives.
• High integrity, discretion, commitment to quality, strong organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, blockchain, or cryptocurrency.
• Experience building industry solutions used across the firm or sold to clients.
