Principal Systems Engineer (Requirements & Defect Manager)

What you will do

• Translate customer requirements into internal software requirements and support technical clarification, breakdown, and tracking.
• Track requirements and defects end to end from definition through verification.
• Tailor requirements and defect management processes to project needs and support lifecycle process definition.
• Assign requirements and defects to responsible departments based on the software architecture.
• Monitor, report, and ensure traceability of software requirements and implementation errors.
• Perform pre-analysis and tracking of reported software defects while supporting best-in-class automotive solutions.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional experience.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle, especially requirements and defect management, including IREB or GfSE standards.
• Advanced knowledge of requirements and task-tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, or DOORS.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills for customer and internal interactions.
• Good written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of project management methods, agile execution, configuration management, and documentation management.
• Experience with stakeholder and supplier management.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and automotive quality standards such as Automotive SPICE or CMMI.
• Experience with speech recognition or related technologies.
• Advanced Excel macros, pivot tables, and Python scripting skills.
