System Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Barneveld, Netherlands; onsite, full-time, 40 hours per week

What you will do

• Translate stakeholder, customer, and business needs into prioritized functional and non-functional system requirements.
• Develop and maintain camera system architecture, system elements, subsystem behavior, and interface definitions.
• Perform system modeling, simulations, feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical trade-off analyses.
• Collaborate with software, functional safety, cybersecurity, electrical, mechanical, verification, and project management teams.
• Support system integration, verification, design reviews, and reliable ECU subsystem performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and internal processes, including camera FMEA maintenance.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of systems engineering experience, preferably in automotive, agricultural, or heavy equipment industries.
• Experience with requirements engineering and translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of ECU systems, embedded controls, diagnostics, vehicle communication architectures, and automotive system integration.
• Experience developing system architectures and managing complex system interactions and interfaces.
• Proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools such as DOORS NG, Polarion, Capella, or similar platforms.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ASPICE, UNECE R46, or MBSE.
