What you will do

• Build, lead, and hire a high-caliber team of software engineers.
• Drive the technical roadmap and strategic direction of the engineering stack.
• Balance hands-on technical contributions with effective people management and coaching.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align team objectives with business goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and engineering excellence.
• Ensure technical decisions prioritize quality, scalability, reliability, and security.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 5+ years of experience building systems in languages such as PHP, Go, Python, or Ruby.
• 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams with a track record of growing talent.
• Solid knowledge of UNIX, LAMP stack, relational databases, and cloud computing (GCP preferred).
• Experience with backend and frontend development and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Prior experience at a hirify.global software company.
• Familiarity with gRPC, RabbitMQ, and caching solutions.
• Experience with SaaS platforms.
