What you will do
- Provide practical resettlement casework to refugee households, ensuring timely access to housing, income, healthcare, education, and other statutory services.
- Deliver enhanced support for households with complex needs (e.g., health needs, safeguarding concerns, limited English literacy, trauma-related barriers).
- Manage caseloads and complete/review individual Support Plans using the Outcomes Star tool.
- Run group session support, including orientation sessions on life in the UK (virtually and in person).
- Handle administrative and compliance tasks: database management, case noting, file maintenance, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with partners and attend multi-agency meetings; advocate verbally and in writing with service providers and statutory agencies.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Dari/Pashto.
- Minimum two years of related paid or voluntary experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, or other vulnerable populations in Hampshire.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver group workshops and educational sessions in diverse, multi-lingual, cross-cultural environments.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and experience leading meetings/trainings via Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area and work flexibly independently and collaboratively.
- Right to work in the UK required.
