What you will do

• Conduct food hygiene and standards inspections in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice.
• Investigate complaints relating to food safety and health & safety matters.
• Undertake accident investigations and health and safety inspections.
• Manage infectious disease control activities.
• Execute enforcement actions, including serving notices and preparing prosecution cases.
• Provide expert input for licensing and planning consultations.

Requirements

• Qualified Environmental Health Practitioner with relevant post-qualification experience.
• Experience in enforcement under Health & Safety legislation and confidence in making proportionate decisions.
• Competence under the Food Law Code of Practice and demonstration of ongoing CPD.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for effective caseload management.
• Must be able to travel across the borough and occasionally work outside normal hours.
