Mechanical Engineer Intern

What you will do

• Design, build, and debug test hardware for mechanical verification.
• Develop and execute mechanical test plans to quantify product characteristics.
• Document testing results through detailed technical reports.
• Evaluate nonconforming components and assemblies.
• Propose and implement design changes to existing products.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen or green card holder due to ITAR compliance.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D drafting software.
• Experience with standard measurement equipment like calipers and load cells.
• Ability to use simple hand tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have dependable transportation for onsite work in Rocklin, CA.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5.

Nice to have

• Experience with collegiate Motorsports teams.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and drawing practices.
