Income Tracking Analyst (Finance)

Income Tracking Analyst (Finance): Providing revenue tracking support for publishing functions in the APAC region with an accent on income claims, society dealings, and suspense research. Focus on analyzing high-volume datafiles, resolving income discrepancies, and providing regular financial forecasts.

Location: Must be based in Beijing, China; minimum 4 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Identify and claim income shortfalls from various territories.
• Liaise with affiliate offices, PRO/CMOs, DSPs, and sub-publishers to ensure income flow and resolve discrepancies.
• Resolve affiliate income queries and provide regular forecasts and updates.
• Collaborate with global Income Tracking, regional Royalty, and Copyright teams to prevent collection problems.
• Support the business with ad hoc forecasts and detailed income analysis.
• Handle general administrative tasks related to Warner/Chappell Music’s Catalogues across APAC and Global.

Requirements

• Degree in Administration, Music, Finance, or a relevant major.
• 3-4 years of experience in income/revenue tracking, or 2-3 years in Music Publishing, or 3 years in the Music Industry.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, Traditional & Simplified Chinese, and Malay.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities, including Pivot Tables and advanced formulas.
• Ability to analyze and manipulate high-volume datafiles with a detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to work from the Beijing office at least 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Ability to write scripts to automate tasks.
• Proficiency with SQL and Snowflake queries.
• Experience with BI visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Knowledge of Power Query and Alteryx.
• Understanding of Performance Rights Organizations (PRO) and international collection society structures.
