What you will do

• Independently analyze liability claim submissions for coverage and set appropriate case reserves.
• Manage a full pending of General Liability claims and drive early settlement opportunities.
• Monitor litigation, manage local defense counsel, and attend mediations or settlement conferences.
• Draft and review coverage analyses and litigation budgets.
• Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to provide market and customer insights.
• Maintain timely and accurate file documentation in the claims management system.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in General Liability with an insurance carrier or in litigation.
• Proven experience in litigation, mediation, and monitoring outside counsel.
• Strong ability to analyze liability and damages exposure, including allocation issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on relationship building.
• Ability to manage a large caseload independently and meet strict timelines.
