Applications Engineer II (IoT)

Salary: $101,500–$188,500 USD

What you will do

• Serve as a technical expert for customers integrating wireless software stacks.
• Debug and resolve complex embedded software, networking, and system-level issues.
• Develop technical documentation, training materials, and application notes.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve product readiness and customer experience.
• Guide customer engagements from evaluation through production deployment.
• Drive Alpha customer use-case validation and technical risk assessments.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong proficiency in embedded C and software architecture.
• Experience with networking software, protocols, and distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills for direct customer interaction.

Nice to have

• Experience with IEEE 802.15.4 protocols (Zigbee, Thread, Matter).
• Familiarity with low-power IoT device development.
• Previous experience in customer-facing technical roles (FAE or Support).
