What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services, microservices, and APIs for rent collection and financial workflows.
• Lead backend integration projects from initial design through production deployment.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability for high-volume request environments.
• Optimize data models and database queries for large production datasets.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver high-impact features for property managers.
• Contribute to frontend development using React or TypeScript when necessary.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in production environments.
• Strong backend engineering skills with Java and frameworks like Spring, Dropwizard, or Micronaut.
• Experience with microservices architecture, service design, and architectural tradeoffs.
• Proven ability to design and optimize queries for large datasets.
• Must be based in Mexico with the ability to travel to Mexico City.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with React or TypeScript.
