Senior Middleware Engineer (Azure)

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and operate enterprise messaging platforms including RabbitMQ, Redis, and Azure Service Bus.
• Design and govern event-driven integration patterns such as pub/sub, competing consumers, and saga/choreography.
• Lead performance engineering by tuning broker configurations, cluster topologies, and namespace partitioning.
• Implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies, including mirrored queues and geo-redundancy.
• Establish end-to-end observability using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible for middleware provisioning.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years focused on middleware and integration platforms.
• Expertise in RabbitMQ (AMQP, Quorum Queues), Redis (Streams, Cluster), and Azure Service Bus.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals (eventual consistency, idempotency).
• Proficiency in C# (.NET), Java/Kotlin, Python, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts, and container orchestration.
• Must be based in Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, or Argentina.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Kafka or Azure Event Hubs for high-throughput streaming.
• Knowledge of .NET service bus frameworks like MassTransit, NServiceBus, or Rebus.
• Microsoft certifications AZ-204 (Azure Developer) or AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Familiarity with CQRS, Event Sourcing, and the Outbox Pattern.
