Salary: $158,000–$185,000 USD (Zone 1)

What you will do

• Build and deploy ML models for customer support, including intent classification, escalation detection, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Design evaluation frameworks using LLM-based review methods and automated quality metrics to prevent regressions.
• Develop propensity, segmentation, and personalization models to support proactive customer outreach.
• Translate agent architecture advances into production systems, including prompt design, retrieval systems, and tool use.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, legal, and compliance partners to ensure response quality and reliability at scale.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with end-to-end ML system building experience.
• Experience with agent-based AI systems, including reasoning loops, memory, RAG, and orchestration.
• Experience designing experiments and applying causal inference methods like A/B testing.
• Ability to work through ambiguous problems and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Must be able to work in-person at the Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience building and evaluating agent-based systems for production.
• Background in developing recommendation, ranking, or personalization systems at scale.
• Experience working on AI products within regulated industries like financial services.
