Salary: $101,600 – $152,400

What you will do

• Design and develop fit-for-purpose assays using 3D organoid models and organ-on-a-chip technologies.
• Lead the application of innovative platforms for studying toxicology in multicellular systems.
• Optimize assays for precision, reproducibility, and scalability in drug discovery workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate in vitro models into safety assessment processes.
• Apply automation and high-throughput plate formats to enhance assay performance.
• Analyze complex biological datasets to establish in vitro-in vivo correlations.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in toxicology, cellular biology, immunology, biochemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong expertise in 3D organoid models, organ-on-a-chip, and co-culture systems.
• Proven experience in designing and optimizing cell-based assays for disease modeling or toxicity evaluation.
• Proficiency in immune cell biology and co-culture models.
• Experience with scripting in Python or R.
• Must be able to work on-site five days per week in San Diego.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with omics datasets (transcriptomics, proteomics, secretomics).
• Experience with high-throughput plate formats.
