Location: On-site in San Diego, CA

Salary: $69,036 – $89,570

What you will do

• Design, implement, and perform functional assay development projects.
• Independently develop and execute assays to evaluate biologic drug candidates, including ELISA, western blot, and kinase assays.
• Create biochemical and cell-based formats suitable for SAR screening in 96 or 384-well plates.
• Provide operational support for departmental activities, including buffer preparation and equipment staging.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to deliver high-quality services.

Requirements

• PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Molecular Biology, or Master’s with 2 years of experience, or Bachelor’s with 4 years of related experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with cell-based and biochemical assays.
• Deep understanding of molecular and cell biology, including mammalian cell culture and compound handling.
• Must be able to work on-site in San Diego, CA.
• Must not have animal allergies and be comfortable working in a lab setting with biohazards and chemicals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written/oral communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with luminescence, fluorescence, absorbance, and radiometric detection methods.
• Industry experience in Pharma/Biotech or drug R&D processes.
