Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (iGaming)

Location: Chadderton, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 4 days per week onsite at the Chadderton office.

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, tooling, fixtures, jigs, and production equipment using SolidWorks.
• Create manufacturing and assembly drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.
• Develop sheet metal, machined, fabricated, and plastic components for production applications.
• Support products from concept and development through production launch and ongoing lifecycle support, including NPI activities.
• Manage engineering data and change control in Agile PLM, and collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and sourcing teams.
• Perform calculations, tolerance analysis, design reviews, validation, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement focused on quality, reliability, efficiency, manufacturability, and cost.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong SolidWorks capability covering part modelling, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and BOM management.
• Experience designing tooling, fixtures, jigs, production equipment, and complex mechanical assemblies.
• Practical knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication, machining processes, assembly techniques, and Design for Manufacture principles.
• Familiarity with Agile PLM or similar Product Lifecycle Management systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for effective work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, hands-on approach focused on quality, continuous improvement, and results.
• Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA).
• FEA or simulation experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders.
• Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Project management or technical leadership experience.
