Staff Engineer, Regional Engineering UK

Location: Slough, England, United Kingdom; customer-facing work at site locations across the UK.

What you will do

• Provide advanced technical support to customers, Sales, Aftermarket, and Service teams across the UK.
• Develop complex technical proposals and tailored engineering solutions based on process equipment knowledge and customer specifications.
• Conduct field troubleshooting, product inspections, site surveys, root cause analysis, and technical investigations.
• Meet customers at site locations and support orders throughout the project lifecycle through technical clarification, engineering analysis, and problem resolution.
• Provide calculations, analysis, and technical justification for engineering decisions while ensuring compliance with quality, ethical, health and safety, and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and coach and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience and/or relevant qualifications.
• Extensive relevant engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Broad engineering knowledge and strong understanding of process equipment and industrial applications.
• Experience interpreting customer specifications and developing technical solutions.
• Working knowledge of 2D/3D CAD and drafting software, such as Solid Edge.
• Understanding of engineering analysis tools, including FEA packages such as ANSYS, and ability to perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations.
• Hands-on experience with assembly, disassembly, fault finding, and root cause analysis, including work in customer-facing environments and industrial plant settings.
• Strong customer focus, commercial awareness, technical report writing, documentation, verbal and written communication, project management, and organisational skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
