What you will do

• Design and ship highly available, fault-tolerant services for analytics ingestion, processing, and delivery.
• Engineer scalable systems for the full data lifecycle, including streaming ingestion and structured/unstructured storage.
• Deploy and maintain large-scale AWS environments focusing on reliability, performance, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to translate concepts into production-ready tools and services.
• Mentor peers through code reviews and share best practices to resolve platform pain points.
• Troubleshoot production incidents using AI-assisted workflows to identify root causes quickly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience building scalable, production-grade software systems.
• Strong Java expertise with Spring and Spring Boot for cloud-native applications.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures and real-time processing.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Druid and/or Apache Flink for large-scale analytics.
• Practical experience with AWS for deploying and troubleshooting cloud services.
• Must be based in Ireland or be able to work in a hybrid model with the Galway office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency with Python for tooling.
• Experience with Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
