What you will do

• Simulate and design active and passive photonic integrated components and circuits.
• Translate operational specifications into precise mask layouts.
• Drive tape-out activities including layout verification, DRC, and documentation.
• Develop and maintain software tools for simulation and mask layout, including PDK management.
• Perform testing, characterization, and qualification of photonic components and integrated circuits.
• Analyze measurement data to optimize device performance and conduct failure analysis.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant research or engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of silicon photonics, semiconductor physics, and optical component design.
• Expertise in at least two areas: Lumerical simulations, RF PCB design/HFSS, or code-based mask layout design.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional, global team.
