What you will do

• Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue, FP&A, and Legal to operationalize compensation plans and ensure alignment with accounting treatments.
• Lead the administration and optimization of the Varicent incentive compensation system, ensuring data integrity and SOX compliance.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly commission accounting processes, including accruals, amortization, and reconciliations.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce manual calculations and enhance automation across the commission lifecycle.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of three commission accounting professionals across international locations.
• Design and maintain internal controls over commission calculations and data inputs to support audit requirements.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant expertise in commission accounting within a SaaS or subscription-based environment.
• 3+ years of people management experience, including coaching and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, specifically ASC 606 and the capitalization/amortization of sales commissions.
• Proven experience working in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements.
• Experience with incentive compensation management tools such as Varicent, Xactly, or CaptivateIQ.
• Demonstrated project management experience, including leading system implementations and cross-functional initiatives.
