Senior Software Quality Engineer (AI)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $90,200–$112,800 per year, plus bonus or variable incentive pay.

What you will do

• Design and scale AI-driven quality automation solutions to improve test coverage, defect detection, and regression optimization.
• Build modular automation frameworks for API, backend, system-level, microservices, and AI-enabled component testing.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and other CI/CD pipelines with quality gates.
• Develop quality signals, reporting, dashboards, and data orchestration tools using test results, telemetry, logs, and metrics.
• Design and execute load, stress, and performance testing, establishing baselines and validating SLAs/SLOs under real-world workloads.
• Collaborate across architecture, DevOps, product engineering, and data/AI teams; lead root cause analysis and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of software engineering experience focused on automation, quality engineering, or performance engineering.
• Experience with AI/ML-assisted testing, LLM-based automation, or intelligent quality systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript, plus experience building test automation frameworks.
• Experience with Azure, microservices, distributed systems, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
• Understanding of Agile and SAFe delivery models, performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or K6, and observability or production telemetry analysis.
