What you will do

  • Develop, validate, and maintain back-end manufacturing processes including press-fit, PCB assembly, and box build.
  • Design, specify, and validate custom press-fit tooling and assembly fixtures.
  • Lead manufacturing engineering activities during NPI builds and product launches.
  • Review and validate BOMs, assembly drawings, and work instructions for manufacturability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to enhance yield and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve manufacturing issues.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or a related engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience with press-fit processes, mechanical PCB assembly, and fixture design.
  • Strong ability to interpret multi-level BOMs, assembly drawings, and mechanical schematics.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems (MES/SPC) and documentation tools.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the Huntsville, AL headquarters.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CAD tools like SolidWorks or AutoCAD for tooling design.
  • Knowledge of 3D printed tooling design and programming.
  • Familiarity with automation and semi-automated assembly systems.
  • Experience with DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.
