Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; hybrid work

hirify.global develops clean energy technology, including heat pumps, solar power, and battery storage solutions, to help reduce residential emissions and energy costs across Europe.

What you will do

• Build and operate the shared cloud platform used by hirify.global’s development teams.
• Develop networking, identity, and security foundations for production systems.
• Own CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, including vulnerability scanning, secure infrastructure, and static code analysis.
• Provide Kubernetes, Kafka, and observability capabilities as internal platform offerings.
• Manage cloud and developer access, internal tools, and onboarding and offboarding workflows.
• Help refine the platform roadmap and prioritize future improvements.

Requirements

• Production experience building and operating infrastructure with AWS and Terraform.
• Several years of experience building and operating systems used by other teams.
• Strong independent decision-making, pragmatic security judgment, and effective collaboration.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly in writing and conversation.
• Thoughtful use of AI, including evaluating where it succeeds or fails.
• Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS EKS, AWS MSK, CDK Terrain, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Experience administering Google Cloud and Azure alongside AWS.
• Knowledge of GitHub, GitHub Actions, vulnerability and dependency scanning, and static code analysis.
• Familiarity with Java, TypeScript, Kotlin, Go, Rust, Flutter, and Unix command-line tools.
