Senior Infrastructure Solutions Engineer

Location: Remote from Germany, the Netherlands, or Slovenia. If located near a hirify.global office, work from that office 3 days per week.

Salary: €57,700–€72,100 gross annually for Slovenia. The role may also include discretionary bonuses or equity.

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates a large constellation of imaging satellites and provides cloud-based satellite data for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian applications.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical engagements with engineering teams to diagnose, unblock, and resolve complex infrastructure challenges.
• Develop reference implementations, tooling, and guidance for migrations away from deprecated systems.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for teams onboarding to hirify.global's core infrastructure.
• Design reusable libraries, Terraform modules, and Helm charts that standardize recurring infrastructure patterns.
• Implement instrumentation and attribution tooling for infrastructure cost, usage, and platform adoption visibility.
• Synthesize engineering feedback and recurring pain points to influence the infrastructure roadmap.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering, including leadership of a cross-team project or migration.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experience with technical enablement, developer experience, or solutions architecture.
• Hands-on experience operating production infrastructure and deep expertise in Kubernetes orchestration, workload optimization, and operations.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or another public cloud provider, including compute, storage, quotas, and capacity management.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and deployment tooling, including Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in software development with Go or Python, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience operating large-scale block storage such as Persistent Disk, Hyperdisk, Ceph, or SAN at fleet scale.
• Experience driving large-scale migrations or deprecations requiring alignment across teams outside the reporting line.
• Background in solutions architecture, professional services, or technical account engineering applied to an internal platform.
• Familiarity with Temporal, batch and job-execution systems, or large-scale data processing pipelines.
• Experience measuring platform adoption through developer-productivity instrumentation, NPS, or internal market share.
