What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and support custom backend service applications.
• Contribute to the architecture and implementation of Java-based applications using clean coding principles.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Architects and Product Managers to define technical implementations.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in peer code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions within an Agile team.
• Research and evaluate new software-related technologies and products.

Requirements

• Must be based in Hungary with a valid Hungarian work permit.
• 8–10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• In-depth experience designing REST APIs and enterprise-level backend architecture.
• Solid experience with MS SQL Server and performance optimization.
• Strong English communication skills (oral and written).

Nice to have

• Experience in the payments industry (credit cards, merchant processing, banking).
• Knowledge of internet security concepts.
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
