Software Engineer (Flink)

Location: Must be based in Budapest, Hungary (Hybrid role).

What you will do

• Develop deep proficiency in Apache Flink and related streaming analytics products.
• Design, implement, and test new features for the streaming analytics suite across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Contribute to a cross-functional team to ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable software delivery.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, UX, and documentation teams on project execution.
• Provide technical support to field teams and customers to facilitate product adoption and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Must be based in Budapest, Hungary (no relocation or immigration support provided).
• BS/MS in Computer Science or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Java ecosystem.
• Understanding of software design and architecture principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Flink, Spark, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
