What you will do

• Develop and maintain financial models for R&D FP&A, including gross margin analysis, COGS modeling, and infrastructure cost forecasting (AWS, GCP, and other cloud vendors).
• Own gross margin reporting across R&D pillars, including per-customer margin analysis, subscription margin benchmarking, and deal impact assessments with the Deal Desk.
• Partner with R&D and Product Operations to manage budgets and forecasts and provide recommendations to optimize costs.
• Work across financial systems and data sources (Adaptive, NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau) to consolidate and automate reporting, including AI-powered workflows.
• Design and implement AI-assisted processes to reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and speed up reporting cycles.
• Build and maintain FinOps frameworks to monitor cloud spend, identify savings opportunities, and support vendor cost decisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or in an FP&A / finance business partner role supporting R&D, Engineering, or Product organizations.
• Strong expertise in gross margin management, COGS modeling, and infrastructure cost analysis (cloud cost experience is a significant plus).
• Curiosity and hands-on interest in AI and automation (e.g., Python, SQL, AI workflows, or automation platforms); willingness to learn is required.
• Ability to navigate complex multi-source data environments and build scalable, automated solutions.
• Advanced financial modeling and reporting skills, including complex multi-scenario models.
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to engineering and executive audiences.
