TL;DR
Senior FP&A Analyst (Fintech/Payments): Managing financial planning, forecasting, performance reporting, and payment economics analysis across an international Merchant of Record platform with an accent on financial modeling, variance analysis, and data quality. Focus on improving LucaNet, Power BI, SQL, and Python-based reporting workflows, automating forecasts, and delivering actionable insights across global teams and time zones.
Location: Cologne, Germany, with hybrid or fully remote work options

What you will do
- Deliver financial insights, scenario analysis, recommendations, and early risk and opportunity identification.
- Maintain and improve LucaNet models, reporting structures, budgeting, and planning processes.
- Analyze financial deviations, root causes, business drivers, and actual performance against targets.
- Improve financial data structures, reporting accuracy, and automation across D365 F&O, Power BI, and planning systems.
- Lead analysis of payment operations, payment costs, PSP performance, and transaction economics.
- Support senior leadership with ad hoc analysis, strategic initiatives, executive reporting, and process improvements.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in FP&A, controlling, or financial analytics.
- Practical experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Hands-on experience with LucaNet or comparable consolidation and planning platforms.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, with strong working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience in international, multi-currency environments and the ability to bridge finance and technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail, structured data-driven working habits, and clear communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with R&D grants or funding projects.
- Background in ecommerce, fintech, subscriptions, payments, or transaction-based business models.
- Experience with Python, AI, automation in finance processes, advanced analytics, or forecasting methodologies.
