TL;DR
Digital Forensic Analyst I (Cybersecurity): Preservation and collection of mobile device and cloud-stored data with an accent on forensic technologies and chain of custody. Focus on executing forensic analysis, managing evidence acquisitions, and refining discovery process requirements.
Location: Hybrid (Dallas or Austin, TX) or Remote (US). Must be willing to travel regularly and possess a valid passport for international travel.
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 a year

What you will do
- Perform forensic data collection and analysis in both on-site and remote capacities.
- Coordinate with legal teams and client IT departments to define project scopes.
- Maintain the forensic toolset by staying current on version updates and market trends.
- Manage chain of custody best practices in accordance with rules of evidence.
- Develop, document, and refine procedures to meet discovery process requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on work products prior to client delivery.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Digital Forensic Science or Computer Science/Engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in the forensic lifecycle, scoping, and evidence acquisition.
- Proficiency with tools such as EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, and MacQuisition.
- Strong understanding of Mac/Windows filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption.
- Ability to travel regularly on short notice.
- Must be based in the United States.
Nice to have
- Industry-standard certifications (EnCE, CCE, CCFE, GCFE, GCFA, etc.).
- Understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
- Knowledge of litigation support applications like Relativity, Concordance, or Nuix.
- Experience with SQL, PowerShell, VB, HTML, and database languages.
