What you will do

  • Analyze anomalous network and system events in a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center environment through lead-less threat hunting.
  • Collaborate with MDR analysts to investigate emerging cybersecurity threats and support advanced intrusion analysis.
  • Develop incident analysis reports and coordinate with business units and customers to resolve issues.
  • Provide actionable threat and vulnerability analysis for multiple independent customer environments.
  • Build test lab environments to research emerging techniques and contribute to threat operations knowledge.
  • Review sandbox technologies and identify additional indicators of compromise from analysis artifacts.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in an information security role; relevant training or certification may substitute for one year.
  • Experience working in a Security Operations Center and at least one year triaging endpoint events from EDR or NGAV tools and supporting incident response.
  • Deep knowledge of threat indicators in Windows environments, including malware, malicious anomalies, abnormal network activity, root-level compromise, and forensic artifacts.
  • Robust understanding of at least two of Windows, Linux, or macOS.
  • Familiarity with ELK, PowerShell, Python, Go, AWS services including EC2, S3, and IAM, and Azure/M365.
  • Strong threat-hunting, problem-solving, critical-thinking, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Network or system administration and engineering experience.
  • Digital forensics and incident response, malware analysis, pentesting, red/blue team, or CTF development experience.
