What you will do

• Design the planning layer for video agents to break creative briefs into generation and editing sequences.
• Build and evaluate tool-use behaviors for selecting video models, editing primitives, and external services.
• Manage context and memory for multi-turn video sessions, including brand context and creator preferences.
• Develop offline and online evaluation flywheels to measure narrative quality and intent satisfaction.
• Collaborate with product teams to transition research prototypes into production features.
• Advance multimodal storytelling across scripts, images, video, and audio.

Requirements

• 5+ years of ML research or research engineering experience.
• Proven track record of shipping LLM-powered systems to production.
• Hands-on experience with tool-use architectures, planning loops, or agent evaluations.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, and familiarity with modern agent frameworks.
• Experience with multimodal models and understanding their limitations in larger systems.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with creative tools, video editing, or design tooling.
• Familiarity with diffusion and video generation models as agent inputs.
• Expertise in designing evals for LLM products (LLM-as-judge, rubric-based).
• Open-source or published work in agent systems or video understanding.
