What you will do
- Analyze technical problems, gather diagnostic information, decide on an initial approach, and execute solutions with consultation as needed.
- Hand over issues to 2nd line support and package/document all relevant data (e.g., work orders, field service reports, technical reports).
- Install equipment at customer locations, including unloading components, inspection, assembly/alignment, and testing.
- Execute upgrade hardware installation and perform system setup/recovery for upgrade packages; support field swaps following an up-to-date plan and sequence.
- Arrange procedures based on customer machine time windows and ensure required parts, tools, equipment, and knowledge are available at start.
- Train users on corrective actions and routine maintenance; recommend changes to user procedures and report process improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience as a UIR Engineer with a BSc in a relevant technical field (Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Technical industry experience required; semiconductor industry experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexibly across different work settings, locations, and collaborations.
- Experience using computer applications for data analysis, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
