Senior Software Developer (.NET)

Location: Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid work with the option to work from home up to 2 days per week; up to 30 days per year may be worked from any location in the world as a flex-location benefit.

What you will do

• Analyze legacy system software and contribute to modern Datalink monitoring, observability, provisioning, and configuration management applications.
• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable, secure, resilient software components in a Windows and Linux production environment.
• Apply AI-powered development tools for coding assistance, test automation, and technical documentation.
• Design software tests, diagnose performance issues, correct defects, and improve system reliability and maintainability.
• Support backlog prioritization and modernization of legacy monitoring and configuration management assets while maintaining operational continuity.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, analysts, testers, product managers, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or equivalent, including work on large-scale real-time or critical systems.
• Strong experience with .NET 8, .NET 10, and C# in a Windows environment.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration and observability tools including Alloy, Loki, Mimir or Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry Protocol.
• Experience with software integration, configuration management, REST, SNMP, TCP/IP, UDP, microservices, backend systems, distributed systems, and Kafka-based event systems.
• Experience writing maintainable and testable code, participating in code and design reviews, and applying software architecture principles.
• Fluent professional English required; a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in aviation, telecommunications, networking, or mission-critical systems.
• Knowledge of operational support systems, configuration management, ServiceNow, or service management environments.
• Professional French proficiency.
