Backend Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Remote in Portugal, or hybrid/onsite in Coimbra, Portugal; availability for in-person meetings at the Coimbra office at least once per month is expected.

Salary: €30,000–€40,000 gross annually.

What you will do

• Specify new features and improvements with the Product Owner.
• Implement and maintain core services with business logic and REST/JSON APIs using .NET Core.
• Develop and scale the platform and vehicle information database.
• Design software architecture for high availability and horizontal scalability.
• Improve product quality, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain internal engineering standards through clean code and code reviews.

Requirements

• Strong technical background and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of C# and relational databases, particularly SQL Server.
• Knowledge of software design, architecture, coding methods, and software development life-cycle processes.
• Reliability, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent English.
• For remote work, residence in Portugal is required; hybrid or onsite work is available in Coimbra.
