What you will do

• Own the global tax technology ecosystem, leading architecture and implementation across platforms like Avalara, Vertex, and Fonoa.
• Design and maintain scalable integrations between tax platforms and core finance systems including NetSuite, Zuora, and Snowflake.
• Drive automation and AI-enabled workflows to improve compliance and reduce manual effort.
• Manage SOX/ITGC controls, audit readiness, and change governance across tax systems.
• Partner with Tax, Accounting, and Engineering teams to shape the long-term tax systems roadmap.
• Lead sandbox strategy, release orchestration, and platform change management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating enterprise tax systems such as Avalara, Vertex, or Fonoa in a global SaaS environment.
• Strong API integration experience (REST/SOAP) and hands-on experience with iPaaS tools like Workato.
• Solid SQL capability and experience with Python for automation or ETL workflows.
• Deep understanding of global indirect tax obligations (VAT/GST, US sales tax, e-invoicing).
• Proven experience with SOX/ITGC controls and audit support.
• Ability to translate technical complexity into actionable insights for leadership.
