Senior SAP Functional Consultant - Basis (m/f/d) (SAP)

Location: Remote from Slovakia only; remote work outside Slovakia is not available due to European taxation regulations.

Salary: Negotiable base salary depending on seniority and experience, with a variable component and other financial benefits. Base salary from €1,950 gross.

What you will do

• Maintain, customize, configure, monitor, and support SAP applications and system landscapes.
• Manage certificates, PGP keys, technical users, authorizations, system connections, transports, jobs, and change processes.
• Administer SAP clients, SAP BTP, Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, email dispatch, printers, system parameters, and third-party add-ons where applicable.
• Handle SAP Basis incidents, system enquiries, escalations, rollouts, testing, quality assurance, and operational documentation.
• Coordinate with SAP operations and data center service providers, including SLA monitoring and second-level support.
• Participate in SAP projects and infrastructure changes, including installations, data center relocations, SOC integration, firewall, WAF, routing, and infrastructure adjustments.

Requirements

• SAP Certified Consultant – SAP S/4HANA System Administration certification.
• Extensive SAP Basis customizing and technical expertise with S/4HANA in project and operational environments.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, SAP BTP, SAP authorization management, ITSM processes aligned with ITIL, and DevOps processes.
• English and German at least B2 level.
• Reliable, responsible, committed approach to work and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with OS and database upgrades, SAP maintenance planning, support packages, release upgrades, SAP Notes, patches, dependency analysis, and BC testing.
• Knowledge of network drives, firewalls, identity providers, SSO, HLD/LLD documentation, and infrastructure support.
• Experience monitoring Early Watch Alerts, batch jobs, IDocs, dumps, update terminations, syslog, SAL, RFC errors, spool issues, and email dispatch.
• Experience with SAP performance analysis and system optimization.
