What you will do

• Drive AS9100 gap analysis and update QMS scope to include engineering and design artifacts.
• Implement design and development controls, including reviews, verification, validation, and configuration management.
• Manage AS-specific deliverables such as AS9102 First Article process and risk management (FMEA).
• Develop and roll out supplier controls, critical supplier identification, and assessment processes.
• Create practical procedures, templates, and training materials to integrate QMS into engineering workflows.
• Coordinate internal audits and prepare evidence for registrar Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits.

Requirements

• BSEE or equivalent technical degree.
• Practical knowledge of AS9100 (AS9100D) and ISO 9001.
• Hands-on experience with FAI (AS9102), supplier quality, and risk management (FMEA/DFMEA).
• Experience supporting certification audits (Stage 1/Stage 2) and internal audits.
• Must be a U.S. Person able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 30% domestically, with occasional international travel.

Nice to have

• Certifications: ASQ CQE/CQA, Lead Auditor (ISO/AS9100), or equivalent aerospace training.
• Awareness of counterfeit parts prevention (AS5553/AS6081).
• Proficiency with PLM/ERP systems.
